HARVEY BEAKS (2015)

"Harvey Beaks is the best project I've ever worked on, period. Creatively speaking, I've never had more freedom to invent and experiment and I owe it to the inimitable C.H. Greenblatt. When I first signed on to score this project, I wrote a proposal to Nickelodeon insisting that we raise the scope of the music by utilizing an orchestra. Thanks to the help of Carl, our producer Joanne Estoesta, and the support of Nickelodeon Execs like Claudia Spinelli, Harvey Beaks became the first Nicktoon to feature an orchestra for the score. In addition, I got to involve a lot of my musical heroes, such as Steve Bartek (Oingo Boingo), Bob Mothersbaugh (DEVO), Leonard Graves Phillips (The Dickies), David J (Bauhaus/Love & Rockets), and was politely rejected by the great Andy Partridge (XTC)." -Ego Plum
